No auditions, just the fun

No auditions, just the fun

You don’t have to be a professional singer to come and join us. In fact, everybody is a singer. If you enjoy music, like the idea of connecting with other people on the level of sound, or would like to explore your voice without stresses, don’t hesitate to join us.

Many of us had never sung in our lives before joining the choir, but the atmosphere is relaxed, uncerimonious and friendly, and it makes it easy to just open up and express yourself out loud. Yes, we do perform from time to time: but participation in those events is not mandatory.

International people, international songs

International people, international songs

Our choir is comprised of people from all over the world, and we think that this is our greatest strength. For this reason, we try to keep our repertoire of songs as diverse and cosmopolitan as possible, thanks also to our tip-top instructors who always discover and arranges new songs.

We sing of Dublin’s beautiful fishmonger Molly Malone, of the French lover’s pain from the Renaissance, of the spirit of miners from South Africa, and of many more things, in many different languages, including Swedish, of course. And if you have a song in your language you really like, why not sing it together?

Most of all, enjoy ourselves

Most of all, enjoy ourselves

The atmosphere of our choir rehearsals is truly easy-going and carefree: really, we just want to enjoy ourselves. We don’t just sing, but oftentimes we engage in many merry activities and games involving music and dancing. We perform while walking in the streets, or we walk our way through a forest to reach the place we are going to sing in. Sometimes our instructor tells us stories or puts together a small workshop in overtone singing.

Most importantly, at the end of our rehearsal, we have a classic Swedish fika, can you really say no to that? And then, to close our meetings, we go together in an unrestrained improvisation, in which we just enjoy the sound.
